Ouvry industrial group to exhibit at IDEX in the United Arab Emirates
From 17 to 21 February 2025, the IDEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi will bring together the world’s leading defence innovations. As a showcase for French excellence, the Ouvry industrial group, which specialises in protection and decontamination systems against Nuclear, Radiological, Biological and Chemical (NRBC) threats, will be taking an active part to represent French know-how.
Present on three booth – its own stand in the France Pavilion (booth C2-16, Hall 3), that of its partner Trust/Edge (booth 5-C20, Hall 5), its local distributor, and in the CBRN Hub (C19) – Ouvry will be exhibiting its full range of CBRN products. In recognition of his expertise, Ludovic Ouvry, Chairman of the Group, will be one of the speakers at the round table on ‘Response and recovery in CBRN scenarios: building resilience through preparedness and coordination’, organised alongside the show.
This participation marks the culmination of several years of investment in the United Arab Emirates and the fulfilment of several contracts announced at the last edition of the show in 2023. Ouvry has perfected its equipment to meet the specific challenges of hot and desert climates. The combat suits developed by Ouvry, subjected to rigorous thermophysiological tests, have proved their effectiveness and comfort, even in the most extreme environments. The first evaluations date back to 2006, when the FELIN military suit was tested in Djibouti in temperatures of over 50°C.
As a global platform for exchange and innovation, IDEX will enable the Ouvry group to strengthen its links with its current partners and to forge new international collaborations. Through this presence, the group is once again demonstrating its commitment to high-performance defence solutions, tailored to the needs of users and the constraints of the toughest environments.
About Ouvry
Ouvry, a Lyon-based industrial group founded in 2003, specialises in the design, engineering, production and maintenance of personal body and respiratory protection and decontamination systems for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. It offers innovative products designed for all response operators: soldiers or gendarmes, firefighters or rescue operators, first responders in civil security, health, industry, infrastructure sites and public transport.
Ouvry designs and manufactures its products using a French and European supply chain; over 200,000 outfits have been manufactured for the Ministries of the Interior, Defence and Health in more than 55 countries.
An international industrial group, Ouvry has a Belgian subsidiary, a subsidiary specialising in thermal protection (Sulitec) and an industrial rubber plant for the manufacture of its butyl products (Jobel).
True to its eco-responsible values, Ouvry favours sustainable solutions that respect the environment. In contrast to the disposable culture, the company has designed washable and reusable CBRN suits, reducing waste and costs for its users. Thanks to local production by Jobel and its own factories both near Lyon, Ouvry is also working to limit its carbon footprint and strengthen French industrial sovereignty.
