The CBRNe Summit Europe 2026 takes place in Lyon, France, from 3rd to 5th February 2026. Supported this year by Lyon firefighters, this leading international event is dedicated to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNe) risk management.
After an afternoon reserved for demonstrations and exercises, the summit includes two days of conferences on major CBRNe challenges.
Laurent Robert Presents OUVRY’s CBRN Expertise
Laurent Robert, Ouvry CBRN senior advisor, spoke on February 4th, during the session dedicated to European civilian CBRNe capabilities. He presented the protective equipment and decontamination solutions designed and manufactured by OUVRY.
Air-Permeable Protective Suits: Innovation and Technology
He highlighted the air-permeable suits developed by the group. These are based on a multilayer architecture, including a filtering fabric inserted between two textile layers. The filtering layer is composed of activated carbon microbeads that adsorb toxic agents and chemical warfare agents in liquid, vapor, or aerosol form.
Comfort and Efficiency for First Responders in the Field
This layer is covered with an outer hydrophobic and oleophobic water-repellent fabric. Unlike impermeable suits, air-permeable suits quickly evacuate heat and perspiration. They provide better comfort for the wearer and allow for longer field deployments. They are also machine-washable and therefore reusable.

Finally, Laurent Robert pointed out that the use of filtering protective suits facilitates the implementation of reflex zoning by first responders, which regulates activities during CBRN crises, particularly the establishment of inter-agency airlocks. These suits thus represent a significant breakthrough in modern CBRN response operations.
