OUVRY wraps up its participation in the Nuclear Accelerator Programme this week and takes part in the Nuclear Security Forum hosted by Nuclear Valley. Two key moments that highlight the company’s strong presence within the French nuclear industry, spanning growth strategy and the protection of the sector’s civil and military interests.
1. Final days of the Nuclear Accelerator Programme
OUVRY was selected to join the second cohort of the Nuclear Accelerator Programme, a joint initiative by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and Bpifrance. Designed for players in the civil nuclear sector, the programme aimed to help companies rethink their positioning and business model in order to unlock their growth potential in nuclear energy.
It included training seminars, networking days within the industry, and personalised coaching and follow-up, with a view to fostering best-practice sharing and the adoption of performance-enhancing tools. Over its 18-month duration, the programme focused in particular on:
- strategic planning,
- vision & commercial performance,
- modernising production facilities and scaling up output,
- financing and securing growth,
- environmental transition,
- governance,
- international positioning,
- HR & employer branding.
The programme concludes this week with two thematic sessions: a leadership conference and training day, and an intra-industry forum on innovation.
This programme gave OUVRY a valuable opportunity to strengthen its network within the nuclear ecosystem and broaden its development prospects.
2. Nuclear Security Forum
In partnership with GIFEN (French Nuclear Energy Industry Group) and with the support of CoSSeN (Specialised Command for Nuclear Security, operating under the French National Gendarmerie), the civil nuclear competitiveness cluster Nuclear Valley is hosting a Nuclear Security Forum dedicated specifically to protecting the interests of the sector.
The day aims to raise awareness among nuclear industry stakeholders of security and protection challenges, with the goal of building a protection community spanning both the civil and military nuclear sectors. The forum is structured around six themes:
- physical protection,
- cyber protection,
- protection of the Nation’s Scientific and Technical Heritage (PSTN),
- reputational protection,
- human resources protection,
- protection of classified defence information.
OUVRY is attending to showcase its personal protective equipment solutions. The company supplies EDF Group — including its Rapid Nuclear Response Force (FARN) — the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), and the Gendarmerie’s Specialised Protection Units (PSPG). The forum is an ideal setting for exchanging views on existing solutions and equipment that can meet the sector’s protection needs.
